sometimes when I read stuff on this forum I think, geez these people must be around some hard-core jw's! Nobody around here gives a second thought to doctrine. This month alone I've asked 9 witnesses if they've seen the September broadcast. They range in age from 17-33. 7 said they had and 2 said they were going to soon on their family worship night. The 7 that watched it..when I asked what they thought about the generation bit with splane, none of them had a clue what I was talking about!! They had watched it but it flew right over their head..they weren't paying attention to it..I can't say this enough..doctrine doesn't matter to people under 30!! They don't know and don't care.

(my apologies if this was already discussed somewhere else.).

i noticed that the domain www.mt2414.com was taken, and when i tested it, it was a mirror of the log in portion of the www.jw.org site, where you can look up assemblies, kingdom halls, and make either one time or recurring donations.

so i created an account there (you can use fake form information as long as it's a real email address for email verification).

i asked a guy who does front end web developing at bethel this question on Twitter the other day..why do the sites mt2414.com and ps8318.com mirror jw dot org? He didn't answer, he just immediately blocked me.

if I had to guess what next "big" thing they'd do with JWB, it would be Sunday talks being a video from corporate HQ. Announce that in 4-6 months this will be starting, that will give halls that don't already have the equipment for this kind of set up..motivation to keep with Jehovah's chariot.

In the first 90 seconds..the old wt radio station wbbr started on February 24 1924...JWB was started in February 24 2014..proof that Jehovah's hand was directing it!!! These JWB guys are something else..ive noticed from following some of their personal Twitter accounts they love using that phrase "Jehovah's hand"

hello all- nice forum.i have been contemplating a fade for a while, and i have been reading various sites such as this one.

i have seen all kinds of things that have made me think.

but something came to mind lately, and i wanted to throw it out there-satan was cast down to the earth, and he is supposedly the cause of all imperfection.

Interesting question/theory, I've never heard that one before. The second test always made me wonder as well. So we make it past the great tribulation, Armageddon, get to the paradise! But hang one, we're not done yet! One more test!

Can the governing body change the 2 witness rule with a simple vote on the issue? Do you only need a 2/3 majority to change the policy, or does it have to be unanimous? How would you, Mr. Jackson vote on the issue?

I brought it up with a relative, asked them if they had heard what was going on in Australia? They hadn't of course. When I told them all I got was "where did you read that?"And then "it's negative! Why would you talk about that?" They didn't want to talk about it. I asked them if I heard a news story about a safety recall on their car, should I not bring it up because it's a negative story about something they like?? I got a dirty look and the subject was changed.

another abuse that most JW children go through is severe "spankings" at the hall..is that still going on?

i was born into the jw's religion.

was an active jw for over 30 years.

i remember when i was a child my mom would take me in the bathroom and switch me so hard with the nice little switch she got from the tree outside.

I recall many a beating took place in my hall growing up in the 80's and 90's. We had a "library" room in the back that was the spanking room. I don't think anyone ever read any of the books back there. I remember a wooden ruler was used until one overzealous parent broke it to pieces over the backside of some poor kid. I used to get smacked upside the head whenever I started to fall asleep in my chair. Now I see kids passed out sleeping on the floor during meeting, people laughing about how cute it is, in my day that got you a beating.
